I bought a 1997 Audi A4 Quattro used off Craigslist, and it came with one key and an aftermarket remote for the alarm system. I’m not sure if the alarm system itself is stock or aftermarket (how can I find out?).

I lost the keys (including the remote), but I got a replacement key from my local Audi dealership, but not a remote. I had to originally break into my car to get my registration, etc. to get my replacement key, so I had to unhook the car battery to stop the alarm. Now that I have the key, as soon as I hook the battery back up, the alarm starts going off, and it locks up the steering column, the ignition and the gearshift.

Does anyone know how to disarm this alarm? Or steps I could take toward a solution. I’ve tried everything I could think of (turning the key counter-clockwise and clockwise twice in the driver’s side and various variations, waiting it out, opening the fusebox and disconnecting/connecting the stock alarm fuse, holding the valet button while attempting to turn the key).

Nothing works. My key fits in the ignition cylinder, but it won’t let me turn the key! Please help.

how do you replace the bonnet cable of audi a4 2003. the bonnet is not catching and the cable is stiff i have tried oiling it but to no avail please help

coz mine needs a makeover so I want to fit some later 5 stud wheel but the hubs are 4 stud. Whre can I get an adaptor from?
